Journal Evaluation and Core Journals List
Journal Evaluation and Core Journals List
The Evaluation of Taiwan Humanities and Social Sciences Journals and the Collection of Core Journals accept applications every year. Applicant journals in each research field are assessed and ranked according to four indicators. Upon the approval of the academia joint meeting, the results of journal rankings and the list of core journals are announced. The latter comprise a list of journals that have applied for and passed the evaluation.
Journals that have been evaluated are classified in three tiers. Tiers one and two are included in the list of core journals. The THCI lists core journals in the humanities while the TSSCI lists core journals in the social sciences. Tier three journals include all non-core journals in the humanities and social sciences.
